Azucena is the first Dutch doctor to complete the specialized training program Integrative & Functional Women's Health in the USA. This is a new field in medicine, which combines modern medicine with natural methods of treatment; with a specific focus on women's health. After working as a GP for 4 years, she started her own practice in Amsterdam called New Women's Health. Here, she helps women hormonal symptoms (such as problems relates to menstruation and perimenopause), chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal complaints and physical symptoms of stress. She also regularly works with the Amsterdam School for Integrative Medicine & Health.
