Cycle care is an (online) content platform which focuses on the modern (young) woman to learn everything about women’s health. Our platform provides information and answers to questions that are on the minds of today's women in a modern and honest way. We work together with experts such as sexologists, dermatologists, dieticians, and gynecologists. 

We are currently in the process of developing a digital solution where we can help women digitally with health questions, provide digital care and in-person care. This is a new journey for us, so we are looking for talent in various fields of expertise.

As interns, we see you as young professionals! You will get to experience the important things from all parts of our startup on a daily basis and experience what it is like to grow as a company. You will immediately take on, under supervision of course, responsibilities. You get the opportunity to put the projects you are working on into practice right away!

internship for translator dutch - english/english - dutch - minimum 16 hours a week - amsterdam

We are always looking for an intern translator who can help us translate our platform, articles and copy into English. Some parts will also have to be translated from English into Dutch. In addition, there is an opportunity to engage in social media and creative writing.

Job description & activities

• Translate our content, videos (subtitles) and other texts for our website

• Translation from Dutch to English and to a lesser extent English/Dutch

• Editing translated texts of varying levels into a well-running whole in the tone of voice of Cycle

• Drafting English responses for our social media channels, forum and community

• Contribute to being found as well as possible on Google by optimizing the translated texts for search engines

• It is an advantage if you enjoy writing creatively in English and have some experience with subtitling.

When? The 'Internship Translator Dutch - English' is for the period from January (or in consultation at a later time) for a period of 3 months for a minimum of 24 hours per week.

Profile You have an HBO diploma or are in the final phase focused on translation (NL/ENG) or a Language & Communication study and you have a good command of English. You obviously have a passion for the female body and enjoy writing. Furthermore, you can work independently and you don't turn your hand around for meeting deadlines and hard work. Of course you don't do this alone. You really become part of the team and we are all happy to help each other. Partial remote working is possible!
